Geographical location

The Giens Peninsula: an exceptional, unspoilt natural setting.

A unique geological formation, the Giens Peninsula is the most southerly part of the Côte d’Azur. Here, you will discover beaches of fine sand, coves, wild trails and ancient salt marshes with their exceptional fauna and large population of flamingoes.

A stone’s throw away is the picturesque village of Giens and its small typical harbours.

Catch a boat from Tour Fondue harbour to the island of Porquerolles, the pearl of the Îles d’Hyères (a 20 minute crossing).

A few minutes away is the town of Hyères-les-Palmiers, with its historic centre and many attractions.

The beaches

La Gabinière is perfectly located opposite the island of Porquerolles.

- 200 m to the east is Plage du Bouvet;
- 300 m to the west is Plage du Pradeau.

And the Giens Peninsula offers a wealth of other beaches and coves.

The Var, a land of contrasts…

Golden sand beaches and rocky shores (300 km of coastline), Îles d’Or, Saint-Tropez, the Verdon Gorge, the Maures and Esterel massifs, picturesque hilltop villages, scents of thyme and rosemary, the markets of Provence… So much to discover and enjoy. Not forgetting the simple pleasure of savouring a chilled Provençal rosé, lulled by the song of the cicadas.

The Var is a department where sea, islands, mountains, lakes, woodlands and scrubland come together.

Unmissable attractions include:
• Bormes-les-Mimosas (28 km from Giens)
• Saint-Tropez (60 km from Giens)
